Software I use, gadgets I love, and other things I recommend.

I get asked a lot about the things I use to build software, stay productive, or buy to fool myself into thinking I’m being productive when I’m really just procrastinating. Here’s a big list of all of my favorite stuff.

Workstation

  • MSI Aegis ZS2 – AMD Ryzen 9 9900X – GeForce RTX 5070

When you think of Costco, I doubt you think of electronics. However, I picked up this bad boy after my old PC kicked the bucket, and it was such a steal. Highly recommend scoping out Costco sales for your next PC.

  • Elgato Wave:3

Sometimes we have to do those dreaded Teams calls but I at least know my mic won't make me sound like I'm drowning or pick up all of my clickity clacks from my notetaking.

  • Logitech G915 Keyboard

Fantastic keyboard that somehow survived my cat knocking my drink all over it. I feel like it is hard to go wrong with Logitech peripherals.

  • Logitech G600 Mouse

Another Logitech item but probably not what most people are looking for. However, it's become my favorite mouse ever since I got into a certain MMO...have you heard of the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV with an expanded free trial which you can play through the entirely of a Realm Reborn and the award winning Stormblood expansion up to level 70 for free with no restrictions on playtime?

  • VIVO Electric Standing Desk

Being at my desk all day, I'm trying to avoid sitting the entire time as well. This is a great desk to put up all three of my monitors and have space for my peripherals.

Development tools

  • Visual Studio Code

    It's a standard for a reason.

  • Tailwind CSS

I'm still growing my frontend skills. In the meantime, Tailwind CSS Pro is coming in clutch helping bridge my weaknesses to build a fantastic product.

Productivity

  • Notion

Notion is a fantastic notetaker, task manager, etc. The sky is truly the limit for this tool when it comes to helping you stay productive.

  • Obsidian

Obsidian is a new tool I'm learning to use in my D&D sessions. Pretty similar to Notion but I love looking at how all of my notes link together in relation to the story we're telling.

  • Proton Mail

Great mail provider if you're looking to de-Googlify your life.

  • Proton Calendar

Sometimes simpler is easier. I love using a basic calendar to plan out my days.
